The Federal Drug Administration has issued a recall of Sally Jackson cheese that was sold in 17 states across the nation. The recall comes after it was found that the products may be contaminated with E. coli.In a preliminary report done by the FDA, issues were found at the Wisconsin plant that the cheese was made at. Sally Jackson cheese is made from raw milk that has not yet been pasteurized. All cheeses with the Sally Jackson label should be avoided at this time.Consumers should discard of the item if it is not returned to the place where it was purchased. Denver man sentenced after hit-and-run accident…  

A man from Denver has been sentenced after a hit-and-run accident where he struck a cyclist. He was sentenced to probation and community service and was also sentenced to 90 days in jail, which was later suspended.The 52-year-old man was visiting his second home in Vail when the accident occurred. The man was driving his Mercedes down the roadway when he struck the cyclist that was riding on the shoulder of the road.He then fled and tried to hide his car behind an abandoned store. The cyclist is still recovering from injuries at this time. 1 killed, 1 injured in 2 pedestrian accidents…  

Two pedestrian accidents occurred on Tuesday in Aurora.  The first accident occurred around 6:20 A.M. when 61-year old Carmen Vasquez-Rios was crossing Havana Street from the west side of the street to the east.  A Chevy van struck her as she crossed the street near Mexico Avenue.  Paramedics took Vasquez-Rios to Aurora Medical Center where she later passed away from the injuries she incurred in the pedestrian accident.The second accident occurred just a few minutes later at Colfax and Aurora Court.  The victim was taken to the nearby University of Colorado for unknown injuries.  Police will be investigating both accidents.Our thoughts and prayers go out to Carmen Vasquez-Rios' family and friends during this difficult time.

Three in hospital after Denver two-car accident…  

Three people were injured after a car accident in Denver on Sunday night.According to police, the accident occurred at West Evans Avenue and South Clay Street when a pickup truck slammed into the back of a compact car. The truck struck the car with such force that one person was ejected from the vehicle as a result of it.Two other passengers in the Saturn were trapped in the vehicle for some time period. All three were taken to the hospital by ambulance. The pickup truck driver was not injured in the accident. Lowe's recalled 11 million blinds and Roman shades last week after reports were made that showed that this product could potentially become a strangling hazard for children.The recall includes all style and sizes of Roman shades and roll-up blinds that are sold at Lowe's. The Consumer Product and Safety Commission were entangled in the cord while looking out the window.The first incident reported occurred in 2009 when a 2-year-old boy in Colorado became entangled in the cord causing it to wrap around his neck and arm.Another report was when a little boy received neck burns from the cord of the shade after getting tangled up in it. Seven children hospitalized after bus crash…  

A two-vehicle accident in Denver caused seven children to be hospitalized.The accident occurred on Thursday of last week at the intersection of 29th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. Witnesses to the accident said that the mini-van was backing out of a parking lot onto the roadway when it struck the school bus.The van then spun around and the tire of the bus fell off causing the bus to stop.
