The Federal Drug Administration has issued a recall of Sally Jackson cheese that was sold in 17 states across the nation. The recall comes after it was found that the products may be contaminated with E. coli.
In a preliminary report done by the FDA, issues were found at the Wisconsin plant that the cheese was made at. Sally Jackson cheese is made from raw milk that has not yet been pasteurized. All cheeses with the Sally Jackson label should be avoided at this time.
Consumers should discard of the item if it is not returned to the place where it was purchased. The cheese has been sold in 17 different states including Colorado, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Massachusetts, Texas and Virginia.
