Today, Subaru issued a recall of many of their new 2012 model vehicles including the 2012 Outback, Impreza, and Legacy. The company says that only about 3,000 of these recalled vehicles have been sold already. Investigators found that the vehicles have an excessive and unsafe amount of brake pedal travel. The car manufacturer is waiting on master cylinders to repair the defect in cars that have not been sold yet. Sales on these vehicles are currently stopped. Michael McHale, a Subaru of America spokesperson, stated, "Some customers said the brakes didn't feel right. The pedal travels farther than it should." The company has not received any reports of accidents involving the brake pedal defect.
