Family injured when car slides into another vehicl…  

This weekend, a father and his two children were injured in a car accident when their vehicle, a 2001 Subaru Outback, slid making a turn, and crashed into a pickup truck on C.R. 55 in Steamboat Springs. According to the Colorado State Police, the accident occurred at around 1 p.m. on Saturday.The father was traveling southbound on Routt County Road 55 and drove around a bend to the right when his vehicle slid into the northbound lanes of the road and into a 2000 Ford F350. The Outback crashed into the pickup truck's left side. Police reported that the road was covered in melting snow and mud.One of the driver's kids, a 5-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries in the car accident. The girl was taken to Children's Hospital in Denver, where she was later listed as being in good condition.
