According to the Boulder Police, a University of Colorado at Boulder student was the victim of a pedestrian accident on campus on Tuesday. Police say that the pedestrian was crossing Regent Drive near Kittredge Loop on foot when a driver of a pickup truck hit him at around 6 p.m. The victim was reported to not be crossing at a crosswalk. Emergency crews transported the pedestrian to Boulder Community Hospital with head injuries. The victim's injuries were reported to be serious in nature. The Boulder Police are investigating the pedestrian accident for a cause. Last week, two people were killed in separate motorcycle accidents that occurred just a few minutes apart on Interstate 70. The accidents occurred in the westbound lanes of the highway just west of Denver. According to the Colorado State Patrol, the first motorcycle accident happened when the driver of the motorcycle lost control at around 11:45 a.m. The driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle. The motorcycle's passenger died at the scene of the accident and the driver was taken to a nearby hospital. The second motorcycle accident occurred as a result of the first accident. Police reports state that a second motorcyclist crashed into a vehicle that slowed to avoid the first accident. The driver of the second motorcycle hit a guardrail and was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Our prayers and thoughts are with the victims' families.
Friday, a tragic hit-and-run motorcycle accident occurred in Colorado Springs at around 10 P.M. According to reports, a 19-year old soldier was riding a motorcycle with two friends on another motorcycle on Rangewood Drive when the accident happened. As the motorcycles were traveling south, a metallic green sedan turned left in front of them. Both motorcycles crashed into the passenger side of the van. The driver of the sedan fled the scene of the accident. All three motorcyclists were taken to a nearby hospital. The soldier later passed away from the injuries he incurred in the motorcycle accident. Our utmost sympathies go out to the victim's family and friends during this difficult time.
Colorado State Patrol have now identified the victim of a motorcycle accident that occurred on Monday. The 54-year-old Loveland resident's motorcycle rear-ended a minivan driven by a 47-year-old man. The accident occurred as both men were traveling westbound on Colorado 30 when the van stopped at a stop sign and the motorcycle hit the back of it. The man was ejected from the motorcycle as a result of the accident and pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the van was treated for non-life threatening injuries. A man was killed from injuries that were sustained in a motorcycle accident last week. The accident occurred as the 48-year-old man was heading west down Elm Street when a car did not yield to him and the two vehicles collided. The car then swerved and hit a pickup truck before coming to a stop. The crash is under investigation at this time, but alcohol and drugs were not said to be factors. A Colorado man was sent to the hospital after a motorcycle accident in Warsaw. According to officials, the accident occurred at the intersection of Frontage Road and Eastlake Drive when the motorcyclist was traveling west and left the road for unknown reasons. After going off the side of the road, he struck a sign and a fence before coming to a stop. He was thrown from the motorcycle and transported to a Fort Wayne hospital where he is now listed in serious condition. Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victims at this time.
According to Arizona Department of Public Safety, a 75-year-old man was pronounced dead after a head-on motorcycle collision on Highway 89A. The accident occurred as the man and two other motorcyclists were heading down the road to Sedona when his motorcycle collided with a car that they were allegedly racing. One other cyclist was injured and one escaped injury. The driver of the other vehicle was an 18-year-old male and officials have said that he could possibly face charges as a result. Police have made an arrest after a fatal hit-and-run motorcycle accident that occurred at the intersection of Flintridge and Vickers drive. According to Colorado Springs Police, the crash was between two vehicles and occurred around 1:45 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, one of the motorcyclists had already fled. Police then found the victim of the crash who had been ejected from his motorcycle in the collision and was lying on the sidewalk. Their efforts to revive the man were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene a few minutes later. According to witnesses, one of the motorcycles was traveling northbound and the other was traveling east when they collided. Our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of the victim.
