Ambulance transporting victims of Denver two-vehic…
An ambulance transporting two victims of a two-vehicle accident was hit by a third vehicle as it was preparing to leave the crash site in northwest Denver. According to Denver Police Department spokesman Sonny Jackson, the two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of West 8th Avenue and Federal Boulevard at around 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, January 2. Just as the ambulance was trying to leave the scene of the accident and head towards a hospital, another vehicle crashed into it, striking its front right side, said Denver Health Medical Center spokeswoman Cindy Matthews. The ambulance, despite being hit, proceeded to the hospital since two seriously-injured people, an adult and a child, from the first accident were in the vehicle. It returned to the scene of the crash after getting the pair safely to the hospital. A third ambulance responded to the accident site, but did not take anyone to get medical treatment. Three people were injured in a two-vehicle traffic accident between Colorado residents Curtis Wright and Darrell Goss at around 2:50 p.m. on Sunday, September 22 at 2600 East Mary Street. Goss’s passenger, 45-year-old Garden City resident Laura Goss, was taken to St. Catherine Hospital after the accident. Meanwhile, Wright and his passenger, Angela, both 45, were transported to St. Catherine Hospital. They were later transferred to a Wichita, Kansas hospital. According to Finney County Sheriff Kevin Bascue, Wright was headed east on U.S. Highway 50 and exited at Mary Street, where he turned left at a red light.
