This weekend, an elderly man was injured in a pedestrian accident at the intersection of Franklin Street and Colfax Avenue.
According to the Denver Police, the accident occurred at around 9 a.m. on Saturday. A driver traveling northbound on Franklin struck the man as he was walking northbound across Colfax at the crosswalk. The driver was attempting to turn right into the eastbound lanes of Colfax.
Investigators believe that a glare from the sun may have prevented the driver from seeing the pedestrian.
The victim of the accident was transported to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.
