Englewood, Colorado police are investigating the details of a car accident involving a semi-truck that caused a 13-vehicle pileup that wounded four people at a Cherry Hills Village intersection on Monday, October 21.
A white big rig hauling a long flatbed trailer was making its way westward on the Highway 285/Hampden bypass at around 3:30 p.m. when its driver failed to yield at South Clarkson Street, causing the vehicle to crash into the cars stopped at the intersection.
According to witness Emily Pond, it was an out-of-control semi-truck that had caused the pileup. The semi-truck was identified to be owned by Englewood’s Winslow Crane Service Co.
Police records showed five cars scrunched in a cluster and four other vehicles were in various states of disrepair at the intersection of Hampden bypass/Jefferson Avenue and Clarkson.
