One person was killed and another was seriously injured after chain-reaction car accident in Adams County.

The accident occurred near East 70th Avenue when a Ford pickup truck crossed the center line and side swiped an oncoming semi-trailer. After this collision, another car tried to avoid the accident and swerved into a westbound lane causing it to collide with a sand truck.

The sand truck then lost control, flipped over the guardrail and rolled down an embankment. The male driver of the red car was pronounced dead at the scene and the semi-trailer driver was seriously injured. The accident is currently still under investigation at this time.
